- [Instructor] Now let's correct the exposure in these images using Lightroom's light controls and the histogram. Remember to choose a profile and set the white balance before applying the light adjustments. This image of the Grand Canyon is way too dark. So we're going to want to start by taking up the exposure. Remember the exposure makes the largest move starting from the center of the histogram in here. So we'll just slide this up a bit so that it looks brighter, and then now that the image is brighter, we can tell that it's a little bit flat so I'll add some contrast that's brightening the whites and darkening the darks. And then next we'll come down to the highlights and take the highlights to a minus move. This is going to increase the detail that we see in the stormy sky. I want to keep that information. Then we'll take the shadows to the right. We'll open the shadows. That brightens up this whole foreground area…
