- [Narrator] Professional photographers use expensive lenses to capture aesthetically pleasing images. These expensive lenses allow them to capture a shallow depth of field with a soft blurred background. Light room's lens blur allows you to create this effect after the fact. Even on a phone selfie like this one, let's see how it works. It's really easy to use. I'll click on lens blur and the edit panel here to open it, and then simply click on Apply. Now, this happened very quick because I applied it to this image once before. The first time you apply lens blur to an image, it might take a little while for the artificial intelligence to process. What's happening is that Lightroom uses artificial intelligence to generate a depth map. In other words, it creates a 3D estimation of the image depth based on the content of the image, The focus point is automatically applied to the subject as we see here. I'm in focus and the background now is softly out of focus. We can adjust that blur…
