Hide your identity when viewing profiles
- [Instructor] LinkedIn users have the ability to see who has viewed their profile. You do, however, have the ability to control what is shown when you're viewing other people's profiles. In order to change this setting, click on the Me icon up at the top right. Then select Settings and Privacy. On the left hand side, select Visibility. And from the Options, you'll want to select profile viewing options. From here, you can determine what others will see when you view their profile. By default, the first option is your name and headline. You can also set it to private profile characteristics, in which they'll see your role and location. Or you can set it to private mode, in which they'll only see that anonymous LinkedIn member viewed their profile. One quick note, however, is that if you don't have LinkedIn Premium, selecting one of the two private settings will disable the Who's Viewed Your Profile feature on your account and erase your viewer history. So if you'd like to control what others see when you view their profile, be sure to adjust your profile viewing options.
