Personalize connection requests
- [Instructor] When connecting with someone on LinkedIn, add a personalized note letting the person know why you want to connect. When you click on the Connect button on someone's profile, a pop-up box appears. From here, if you click Send without a note, the invite will be sent without any message. Instead, click on Add a note. Here you can add a note letting the person know why you want to connect or how you know them. Once you've entered the note, you can go ahead and click Send and the invitation will be sent with this note attached. On the LinkedIn mobile app, the process is a little different. Instead of clicking on Connect, which will immediately send the invite, click on the three-dot icon to the right. From here, select Personalize invite. And now, you can enter in the personalized message and then send the invite.
