Downloading and installing OBS
- [Instructor] Downloading and installing OBS is a straightforward process, but there are a few things to keep in mind. First, head over to obsproject.com. You'll land on the Download page where you can choose your operating system: Windows, Mac, or Linux. Since we're focusing on Apple computers, click on the MacOS option. If you're using a Windows or Linux machine, the steps are similar. We're going to click on macOS here, and you'll see we'll be offered a selection between an Intel chip or an Apple silicone chip. This computer is an M1, so we're going to pick Apple Silicone. And after clicking on this, the download starts automatically. It's always best to download the latest version of OBS to ensure you have all the newest features and security updates. You might see an option to download previous versions, but keep in mind, they're not supported. Stick with the latest build to avoid any unnecessary headaches.
