- [Instructor] As soon as we lay one color on another using transparencies, the logos take on a stained glass effect, or the appearance of colored gels laid one upon the other. The visual interest for the consumer is where the overlap occurs. There is that sense of magic we discovered as children when we first learned that red and blue make purple, or red and yellow make orange. This conveys to the consumer that this company is involved in an additive process of change. These multicolored transparent logos also create the same magic, but notice the more colors we layer together, the richer and more complex the solutions become. But this can be challenging as well. More layers of color can also lead to dark, dull, or uninteresting color combinations.
