- As a designer, we have the luxury of years of experience that generally translates into intuition. Lucky for us, but not as lucky for the client, that takes over the implementation of their fresh off the drive brand. Not every client is going to have designers, the software, the hardware, the fonts, or the patience or time to successfully steward these new brand assets to maturity. And even if they did come replete with the full kit I just mentioned, they absolutely will not have your mind. There is a no-win when this happens. It is paramount to both parties that success is a mutual objective. Brand standards have traditionally served as the owner's manual of all the brand knowledge, and it will generally be your best opportunity to provide your client with a crash course in typography.
