Prioritize self-care

- Self care is often thought of as being selfish or indulgent, but it's really any habit or activity that sustains you instead of drains you. Anything that leaves you feeling restored and nourished, not depleted. That means self-care isn't always easy or glamorous. It's sometimes uncomfortable because it requires us to slow down and confront difficult thoughts or emotions, or to change longstanding patterns of devaluing our own needs and putting ourselves last. Self-care is so much more than pedicures and bubble baths. You don't need to buy a single thing but you do need to take responsibility for focusing on your wellbeing and monitoring your energy levels. There's actually six different areas of self care. First is physical self care, which includes exercise, eating well and hydrating, but also includes things like taking a sick day when you don't feel well and getting enough sleep.
