What you should know
- To be successful with Metasploit you need fundamental knowledge and skills of networking, operating systems, and scripting. You may also want to build a lab environment using different operating systems for practice. If you do not have any previous experience with Metasploit, no need to worry. The course will give you an overview of where to start and what you can do with him. It will help if you have a basic knowledge of security analysis. The course will start by helping you understand the Metasploit framework, the available modules, and the structure of the framework. The course will also step through core tasks you can perform, such as scanning, information-gathering, exploitation, and post-exploitation activities. The purpose of this course isn't to show you how to hack using Metasploit, but how to use the available features of the Metasploit framework that can assist you in performing a security analysis. Remember, do not perform any hacking against environments where you do not have permissions to do so.
