Create and assign deployment profiles
- [Instructor] To prepare for Windows Autopilot, there are a number of things that you'll need to do. The first of these is to create a device deployment group. I would recommend using a dynamic group here because that means you don't really need to know what the names of the devices are, you just need to know the characteristics of those devices, you know, for example, that they maybe running Windows 11 Enterprise. You'll then create a deployment profile which will configure the settings of Autopilot. And so, choose a deployment mode, so that might be self-deploying or user-driven. Specify whether the device will be Entra joined or Hybrid joined, and so on. So, that's a very critical step. You'll then personalize the profiles. You'll configure an Enrollment Status Page which will guide the user through the process whilst Autopilot is performing the join and enrollment activity, and then Intune takes over and starts to configure the device through provisioning, the user is able to get…
