- [Instructor] What is Microsoft Tunnel? Well, Microsoft Tunnel for Intune is a virtual private network or VPN gateway for Intune that runs in a container on Linux in your on-premises environment. It enables access to your on-premises environment resources from devices that are running iOS or Android. The requirements are in order to connect to corporate resources, you need to deploy the following components to your iOS and Android devices. First of all, the Microsoft Defender for Endpoint app, which will provide the Microsoft Tunnel client capability, Intune VPN profiles, which enable connectivity through the tunnel. And you might also need to provision a solution such as Azure ExpressRoute to extend your on-premises network to the cloud. Prerequisites.
