Establishing constraints with criteria
- [Instructor] In addition to gathering and displaying records from data tables, we can add filtering constraints to the query design grid, to only display the exact records that we're interested in seeing. Let's see how this works by exploring the data that we've collected on Red 30 tech customers. I'm going to go to the create ribbon and in the queries group, there's a button called query design. When you click that, it opens up a brand new empty query in design view. Here we can start creating a query from scratch. The add tables panel should have opened up on the right hand side of your screen, but if you're not seeing it, you'll find a button called add tables in the query design contextual tab. This button will toggle that panel off and on again. In the add tables panel, I'll switch over to the tables group and I'll find the customer's table.
