Microsoft Defender for Cloud is a security service that protects Azure Resources but it can also protect on-premises resources and even resources on other clouds. Microsoft Defender for Cloud provides many features to help you with securing your resources, and it also helps with regulatory compliance. And this is especially important these days when regulations related to data access are so complex with things such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, or HIPAA in the United States and the General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR in the European Union.
