- Microsoft designed Azure to support all the benefits that cloud computing provides. In this lesson: Describe the Core Architectural Components of Azure, you learn a bit about how Azure works under the hood. You learn about Azure regions, region pairs, and sovereign regions, and how they can help you ensure high availability and compliance. We dig further into high availability with a discussion of availability zones. We describe Azure data centers and some of the components within them. We then talk about Azure resources that you deploy to Azure and how you can organize them with resource groups. We also talk about further organizing your resources using management groups and how they differ from resource groups.
