Benefits of manageability in the cloud
- [Instructor] The cloud gives you some benefits in terms of management. Many management activities are taken away from you when you adopt the cloud, such as the physical security of the place, the underlying infrastructure in terms of installing new hardware and configuring the hardware, and of course replacing failed hardware. That's the responsibility of the cloud provider. On the other hand, there are management activities that you must perform, such as setting and configuring your scaling rules, deploying your resources and applications as well, and finally monitoring both resources and applications. Here's a practice question for you. "You have an on-premises solution. You plan to migrate to Azure virtual machines. Which two responsibilities will be eliminated after the migration?" And the answer will be both managing physical security and of course replacing failed hardware.
