The cloud has many traits and features that promote both. Let's start with reliability. So you should know by now that Azure has different regions worldwide and if a region fails, there will be others for you to use. This is a global scale feature of the cloud. You can replicate data between zones in the same region and you can also replicate data from one region to another region. There are some services in the cloud that can heal themselves, mostly those in the platform as a service and software as a service categories.
