- [Instructor] Hello, and welcome to Lesson 8: Understanding Compute Options. When building solutions in Azure, traditional VM-based compute is a popular choice for some scenarios. So in this lesson, we'll look at some of the different virtual machine-based options. We'll start with the general overview of what the different offerings are before looking at basic virtual machines. Then we'll look at how we can create and store our on own virtual machine images. Next, we'll see how we can load balance virtual machines before going to using automated Scale Sets. And then finally, into Azure Batch, which is similar to Scale Sets but designed for massively parallel compute jobs. And then, again, we'll finish off by looking at an example exam scenario and a potential architecture.
