- [Instructor] The main reason that businesses implement a customer relationship management system is to store all activities in one place and create visibility for the entire organization. In Dynamics 365, there are several types of activities. A few examples of out of the box activities are emails, phone calls, tasks, and appointments. Activities track past and future customer or prospect interactions like tasks, phone calls, or emails. They can also be assigned to other sellers. Each activity has a due date that indicates when an activity should be completed. To get the most out of Dynamics 365 sales, it's important for every seller to create an activity for every single interaction. With activities, sellers can build a timeline of historical interactions with prospects and customers. Activities behave differently from the regular record types in Dynamics 365.
