Utilize the D365 Assistant

- [Instructor] Who doesn't want to have their own personal virtual assistant that keeps them on track of things? The Assistant is part of the Sales Insights area in Dynamics 365 and does exactly that. It helps users to stay on top of things by using informational cards that are displayed throughout the application. There are two different cards that the Assistant uses. First is notifications. These include upcoming activities, like meetings and phone calls. There are also reminders for items that require attention, like an opportunity with a closed date that is nearing or a lead that hasn't been worked in a while. Second are insights. These are suggestions for things that require attention, like an email from a prospect requesting a meeting. Keep in mind that the Assistant isn't restricted to just data from Dynamics 365 to create its cards. If your organization is taken advantage of the out of the box integration with Microsoft 365, it also has access to data that resides in Exchange and Outlook. Let's take a look how the Assistant can help us inside of Dynamics 365. Here we are in the sales hub. And as you can see, the Assistant is embedded in this sales activity social dashboard. On top, we can see the notifications with the reminders. You can see, I have five reminders here. And if I scroll down, I can also see that I have some insights here. I can click on each of those notifications. And then from here, I can review the actual data inside of the card. So this card is telling me that my opportunity closes on Thursday, June 30th. So maybe I want to take a look at that opportunity and make some updates to it. By clicking open opportunity, this will take me to the actual record. Now, you'll notice that now we also have a notification card directly inside of the opportunity form. Any notifications you see inside of a form are notifications that are related strictly to that particular record. We can also pull up the Assistant at any point in time by clicking the lightbulb icon on top of the screen. This, again, will show you notifications that are related to you as a seller. Again, by clicking on any of the cards, sellers will get additional information related to that notification. The Assistant keeps an eye on seller's daily actions and communications and helps them stay on top of their day.
