- [Instructor] When we first subscribe for an Entra ID tenant, we have to set the default domain name. The domain name is going to be used as the suffix for all of our user accounts. It's going to be used for accessing applications. It's going to be used for publishing our content externally. There are a lot of usage for domain names. The default domain name is always a domain name that has a suffix of onmicrosoft.com and the default domain name for our ID tenant. In the case of my ID tenant, my default domain is here netlogoncloud.onmicrosoft.com. That default tenant was created initially. I cannot edit it, I cannot modify it. It is there forever. However, I can create additional custom domains. A custom domain is an additional domain that can be used for my usernames, can be used for publishing applications, and all of the things that I just mentioned about why a domain name is used.
