- [Instructor] Auditing can be done to carry out a tracking activity of some existing events within your Microsoft 365 tenants. To carry out an audit search, you log into your Microsoft Defender, which is security administrator credentials or your global administrator credentials. Under Reports, go to Audit. You can do a new search and you can also audit retention policies. In the previous video, we created a retention label and a retention policy to publish the label into different locations, which could be applicable to your files, your applications, your emails, and some other items within your environment. In this video, we want to track some existing activities that has been carried out by one or more user within a time range within your Office 365 environment.
