- [Instructor] Okay, so how does Power BI fit on the Microsoft ecosystem as a whole? Power BI is actually a bit unique in this sense, as it not only belongs to the Power Platform, but is also the main reporting tool across all the Microsoft Data and AI spectrum. Whether the data is coming from Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, SQL Server, Dynamics, or just a bunch of static text files, chances are that the final product will be a Power BI report. Even Microsoft itself uses this technologies on several of their own products. One example of this is PowerApps Analytics, which is the reporting component of PowerApps. Although most of the focus of Power BI is on cloud-based interactive reports, there are two exceptions to this rule.
