- Hi, Bonnie Biafore here. One scheduling best practice is that no incomplete tasks should have negative float because that means the task has missed a date constraint or deadline. In this tip I'll show you how to modify incomplete tasks with negative float so you can get the schedule back on track. I'm going to open up the exercise file for this movie. If you see a message about macros, just select disable macros. We don't need them for this example. Then if you see this planning wizard message about a scheduling conflict, select continue and click OK. When you want to recover your schedule, you really want to work with the team to figure out ways to adjust the schedule. In this example, we've come up with some simple solutions.
