- [Instructor] In another video, we saw how to add channels to a team, but we only saw a standard channel. Standard channels are certainly the most common, and most users don't need to worry about different types of channels, but it can be good to know about the special options you get with a private channel, or a shared channel. So point at the name of a team, and the button with three dots will appear to the right of the team name. You can click that to open the menu. And I see the option here to add a channel. Team owners will have that option, and normal members may or may not have this option, depending on the team settings. So I'll choose to add a channel. I'll give this channel a name, I'll call it "Server administration." And I'm going to skip the description and go straight to the menu for channel type.
