Manage lobby settings in Teams
- At some point, you may go to your calendar in Teams and find a meeting that somebody else invited you to, click the join button to join the meeting, check your settings, then click the join now button. But instead of letting you into the meeting, it may say something about waiting for somebody to admit you. If that happens, then you are waiting in what is called the lobby. You will not get into the meeting until the meeting organizer lets you in. For now, I'm going to close this. I'll just click the cancel button. And that lobby option is controlled by the person who schedules a meeting. So first, let's schedule a new meeting. I'll click the new meeting button up at the top. And when you set up a new meeting, there's an option for the lobby on the right. You can click this gear button to open or close that panel, so make sure the panel is open, then you can set your lobby settings.
