- [Instructor] The account status in Teams lets people know if you are at your computer ready to answer questions. Here in the Chat section, before I send a message, I can see whether people are available by looking at the color dot on their account icon. The green dot on Stewart's account means that he is Available. The yellow dot on Garrick's icon means that he is Away. The red dot on Wei's icon means that he is Busy. He may be in a meeting or is set to the Do not disturb mode. And if you ever see the gray circle with an X on it, that means that person is not online at all. You can also point directly at somebody's icon to see more information. When I point at Wei's icon, I can see the Do not disturb message is set. And if you go over to a team channel, you'll see that same color dot which lets you know who is available and who is away. And generally this status information should update automatically.
