- [Instructor] In order to use the application migration service to migrate a virtual machine, that virtual machine is going to have to be running a supported operating system. Remember, if you're performing an agentless migration, then you'll have to be able to install an agent on the virtual machine, and that agent has certain operating system requirements. So I wanted to take a moment and talk about the supported operating systems. Now, if you're planning on migrating a Windows virtual machine, then you can use 64-bit versions of Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, and 2022. 64-bit versions of Windows 10 are also supported. Now, if you've got an older Windows server, you can migrate both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows Server 2003, 2008. and 2008 R2. Now, it's worth noting that these legacy versions of Windows server are no longer officially supported by Microsoft, but admittedly, there are organizations that are still running them.
