- [Instructor] In earlier versions of NotebookLM, there was a table of contents feature right down in here. You'll notice it's no longer there. As an author that kind of bothered me quite a bit. As a LinkedIn Learning author, the first step in course creation process is creating a table of contents. The table of contents must have a logical flow, not only between the chapters, but also the videos contained in the chapter. As an author with Apress, I needed to submit a table of contents with subtopics, and once that is locked in, you can start to write the book. But there are other uses. If, for example, you are producing a user research document for circulation to the stakeholders and the design and development teams, a solid table of contents is critical. Having compiled all of my research material, creating that logical flow between chapters and between the content in each chapter, it's always tricky.
