- [Instructor] This is a practical course which introduces you to the concept of firewalls and some open-source firewall tools. You don't need any prior knowledge to take this course, as I'll provide an explanation of each of the tools as we go. I will, however, assume that you have some basic computer knowledge and can understand the basic commands used in the Linux operating system, and that you are familiar with common networking terminology and the basics of network operation.
