From the course: Oracle Database 12c: Advanced SQL

What you need to know?

- [Instructor] In order for you to get the most out of the hands-on demos, you should have prior Oracle database experience, preferably with an Oracle 12c or 11g database. In addition, I would strongly suggest first taking a look at my Oracle 12c basic SQL course, to get familiar with the fundamentals of the Oracle database, including tables, constraints, writing SQL queries, and using Oracle SQL Developer. While not strictly mandatory, this course is intended to be viewed after watching the Oracle 12c basic SQL course, which is also available in the content library. For the hands-on exercises, you will also need access to an Oracle 12c database with the HR schema deployed and proper database permissions to create various Oracle schema objects inside the HR schema. During the hands-on exercises, which make up for the bulk of the course runtime, I'll be using the Oracle Demo Developer Virtual Machine, which can be freely downloaded from Oracle.com. If you choose to use this virtual machine, you will need a computer running Oracle VirtualBox, so that you can open and start the Oracle Developer Demo, Virtual Machine.
