This level of seamless execution isn't a dream. It's the result of a well-planned event marketing timeline. So how do you get there? It starts with having the end in mind. I promise this technique has helped me successfully plan dozens of events. The first step is to determine the exact date of your event. This is your anchor point and will dictate the rest of your timeline. Identify the critical milestones that must be achieved leading up to the event. These milestones include securing a venue, confirming speakers, launching marketing campaigns, and opening registration. For each milestone, determine how much lead time is needed.
