- [Instructor] After I've created sub folders, you might wonder, how do I make sure that I can see the folders that I need to keep an eye on? For example, if my inbox is collapsed, I see that there are 914 items unread in my inbox, but there are seven of those in Conferences and I might not notice, particularly if as an advanced user, I've created some rules to automatically move items to a folder, which is another whole course. So what if I want to make sure that I can see these, that they have visibility into all of the folders in my inbox? What I can do is take a folder, drag it, and drop it up here in the favorites area. Now, I didn't move that folder. It still exists as a sub folder in the inbox. This is a link to it. But because this is a flat structure, there's no hierarchy. Any folder that I put here, I'm seeing what its contents are in terms of the number of unread messages. And if I point to the folder, it tells me how many items there are altogether.
