Planning transitions
- After significant contract negotiations, an agreement has been reached. Now it's time to prepare for service delivery to be transferred to the outsourcer. This is one of the most critical and complicated pieces of the outsourcing environment and where the road can get quite bumpy, technical, process, and people issues abound. Understanding best practices for completing this critical part of the outsourcing journey is paramount to success. Hi, I'm Bob McGannon, a consultant, author, and business coach, and I've transitioned several accounts to launch services from an outsourcer. This course takes you through common issues that cause transition problems and tools for addressing them. We'll discuss transitioning personnel, the human factors of outsourcing transition, transferring assets, managing service levels and baselines, and creating a service delivery cutover checklist. In addition, I'll give you a bit of a challenge to work through to help you avoid issues while you plan a transition in your own outsourcing environment. If you work for an outsourcer or are working with a client that has contracted service delivery to an outsourcing provider, this course will help you anticipate and avoid issues that can impact the ability to smoothly launch your outsource services. Let's get started to help you ensure this sometimes bumpy road doesn't impact your outsourcing journey.
