Reviewing the contract
- The outsourcing transition process typically ends with what's commonly called cutover. This is when all services described in the contract will become the responsibility of the outsourcer. Outsourcing contracts get signed, and then sometimes it takes weeks or even months to work through the transition prior to cutover. It's wise to review the contract prior to cutover so both parties are clear on key elements of the contract. Items to review include scope of services, service level agreements or SLAs, transition responsibilities, specific or changed delivery responsibilities and audit scheduling. Let's go over each of these. The scope of services needs to be reviewed to ensure both parties are clear on what's in and out of scope.
