- I'm often asked a loaded question by financial professionals who want to become better communicators. They ask, "Carl, how can I improve my executive presence?" Executive presence in the context of financial presentations is the combination of qualities that enable a presenter to command attention, project confidence, and inspire trust and credibility among their audience. In the absence of executive presence, there's a lack of these traits and it becomes an uphill battle to project influence.
