Creating a narrative around the problem
From the course: Problem-Solving Master Class
Creating a narrative around the problem
When you create a narrative around a problem, it opens up new ways of looking at it, and it allows for lots of different perspectives. For me, it also allows a little detachment, which means you can stand back a bit from the problem. Creating a narrative helps you define the problem more clearly, too. It allows for a lot of creativity, but also clarity. You can invite others to share their own narrative of the problem, and that can provide some interesting insights too. You could also create different narratives around different perspectives, a narrative from the point of view of the client, from the point of view of the staff member, and so on.
