Creating show art

- One of the most important pieces for your podcast is the Show Art. This is the thumbnail that helps people discover the episode when they're browsing through their libraries or looking at a directory. There are a surprising amount of rules for this, and a lot of emphasis on the Show Art. If you know much about YouTube for example, it's often the good thumbnail that dictates whether a video does well or not. Show Art is the same way. Your Show Art is going to be a JPEG or a PNG file and it needs to use the RGB color space. This is no big deal because this is the same type of stuff you're going to do, inside of an application like Adobe Photoshop. It's generally recommended that you build these at 1400 by 1400 pixels, they need to be squared. That's really the minimum size, but if you want to be safe and future-proofed you can build it up at about 3000 by 3000 pixels. Visitors are going to see this artwork in varying…
