- I have a serious question to ask. Do you like to work for free? I'm guessing your answer is no, and that's all good and dandy, but does your requirements planning reflect this? If you fail to clarify your project requirements, there's a good chance your customer will lean on you for extra work. Watch out for this. It's one of the ways scope creep hitches a ride on your project. Ask questions and clarify the requirements. Don't just read the contractor SOW and jump in. Dig deeper to be certain you've connected the high level requirements to what needs to be included in the final deliverables. Review similar projects that were completed in the past. This might clue you into requirements that were not included in the original agreement. And talk to the stakeholders. It's best practice to get them engaged early and often on your project.
