From the course: Questions to Ask Yourself Before You Quit

How do you know?

- Quitting has such a bad reputation. Quitters never win, and winners never quit, and quitting lasts forever. You were probably told some of these things, if not worse. But sometimes, it's important to know when to quit, when to cut your losses and get out, when to quit throwing good money after bad, and it is equally important to know when to stay, when to stick it out, even though the going gets tough. And when you are torn between staying and going, that's a tough place to be, which is exactly why it probably feels so hard to quit right now. To quit that project, that friendship, that job. You've been thinkin' about it though, it's become a gnawing feeling in your stomach, or maybe it's living as a question anchored in the back of your mind. If you're proactive, you might've made a pros and cons list, but come up short. Or if you're feeling nervous, perhaps you haven't even let yourself even truly consider the possibility of walking away. I'm Sam Bennett, and in this course, I can't tell you what the perfect decision is for you right now, but life isn't about making perfect decisions, it's about making the best decisions you can with the information you have at the time. What I can give you is 14 questions to ask yourself as you dive into this, so that you make yourself aware of all the information that you have, some of which you may be in the habit of ignoring. In addition to being a best-selling author, consultant, speaker, and productivity coach, I've also been a quitter, and to be fair, I've also been a stayer. I've faced this decision many times, and I'm excited to walk you through these questions that helped me when I came to a fork in the road. So, if you're ready to ask yourself some hard questions, check in on your yes voice, and your no voice, and to get a few steps closer to a decision, let's get started.
