- Here is a very juicy question. If you had quit the situation that you're in six months ago, and now you saw someone else succeeding at it, how would you feel? If you had quit this job six months ago and now there was someone in the position and they were just killing it, how would you feel? If you'd left this relationship six months ago and now you saw that person in a new relationship and they're very happy, how would you feel? Here's the key. The reason why this question is so valuable: jealousy. It's a very helpful indicator of what you really desire. Your jealousy tells you what you want, and it doesn't just tell you that you want it, it tells you that you think you can have it. You may notice that you are never jealous of things you don't really want or care about. Somebody says, "Oh, I swam the English Channel." I'm like, "Good for you." I'm not jealous of that. I may admire it, but I am not jealous of that.…
