- I've heard it said that history doesn't necessarily repeat itself, but it rhymes. So my question for you is, as you think about this situation that you may or may not be leaving, what does it remind you of? What feels familiar about it? Is there something from your childhood, your teenage years, your young adult years? Is there a relationship or a role that it calls to mind? You might think, "Oh, maybe I'm having trouble with this boss "because the way they criticize me "kind of reminds me of my dad." Or is there a familiar internal dynamic? For years, I had the thought, "I work and I work and I work and I don't get anywhere." Now externally on paper, that wasn't true. I was achieving things, but I didn't feel it on the inside.
