Adding detail components
- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to add some detail components to begin embellishing our detail. Now a detailed component is just a 2D family that represents a physical element. So they are drawn to scale at the correct size, but they only show in the view that you're placing them in. So they're a little bit different than model elements in that respect, but you're going to use them in details when you want to show an object in more detail than you're modeling it in. So I'm going to go to the annotate tab here and click the little dropdown on this tool right here. And the last time I used this, I used a legend component. Notice that legend components are not available here in a detail view. They're only available in legend views. But I want to back up to this detail component and that is available here. And the first one that I'm going to add should already be here on the list. It's this C shapes section. Now there's only one type for that, so I'm going to choose the one…
