Adding filled and masking regions

- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to create some custom shapes using regions. So we've got two kinds of regions, we've got masking regions, and we've got filled regions. I'd like to show you both of them here in this video. So I want to start with our stair treads here, and the geometry of the model is showing through and it doesn't quite look the way I want it to look. So what I would rather have is for just our array grouped elements that we have there to show on top and none of the model geometry underneath. Now you might be thinking, well then let's just hide this object. But of course if we did that, and I'll just show you that with temporary hide isolate, that's going to hide way too much. And now we would have to come in and supplement all of that other geometry. So I'm going to reset that temporary hide. And what you can do with a masking region is you can hide selectively.
