Adding grids

- [Instructor] In this video we're going to lay out some grid elements. Now grids are vertical datum elements used to locate geometry, typically structural elements like columns and beams. They're not required, but they can often be very helpful to organize your building geometry. Now to help us, I've created a version of the exercise file here that has some walls in it. The walls are not required to create grids, but I just put them in there so that we could get our grids in roughly the same place. So I do recommend that you use my exercise file and not your own to continue here. So what I'm going to do is just zoom in slightly on those wall elements and we'll begin placing some grids. So the grid tool is right here on the datum panel of the architecture tab. And I'll go ahead and click that. And the way you draw a grid is just by clicking two points.
