- [Announcer] In this video we're going to discuss legend views. Now, it's frequently the case that architectural documentation will include legends that define the various symbols that are being used in a project and Revit has a special type of view just for this purpose. So I'm going to go to the view tab and click the legend dropdown and choose the first option here to create a new legend view. I'm going to give it a name and I'll accept the default scale and click okay. Now, this gets placed in its own branch on the project browser, here under legends you will see that new legend view appear right there and then looking at it on screen, you can see that it's a blank sheet of paper. So a legend view is a special kind of drafting view and both drafting views and legend views are disconnected from the model in any way, so you use them to create diagrams, details, or just really any kind of illustration that is required by your documentation.
