- [Speaker] In this video, we're going to add room elements to our model. Now, I know you may be looking at this plan and thinking that we already have rooms here, but don't confuse room boundaries or enclosed spaces with actual rooms. In order for Revit to understand that there are rooms here, we need to place room elements. And you can get to the "Room Element" tool here on the Architecture tab, or you can type the keyboard shortcut of r+m . Now when I click the tool and then move it into the drawing window, but not yet into the floor plan, you should be seeing this little blue box with an X running through it. That's how Revit represents the room. Now notice here there's a tag option and it's currently lit up. We're seeing a little label on that item that says "Room Name". If you were to clear this, that little label will go away. Now, I think when you're adding rooms, making tags at the same time is really nice, so I think you should leave that turned on.
