Adding walls
- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to begin exploring the wall tool and focus on some of the very basic mechanics. So the first thing we want to do is run the wall tool, and we can do so by clicking the button on the ribbon or typing the keyboard shortcut of W + A. When the command executes, you're going to see several things change in the interface. So if you look at the ribbon, you can see that it's now tinted in a green color, and we've got several tools that appear over on the right hand side. There's also several options that appear along the length of the ribbon. And then on the properties palette, you could see here at the top the kind of wall that we're drawing. In my case, that's generic eight inch, or if you're working in the metric file, it's generic 200 millimeters. Now I'm not going to change any of those settings, I'm just going to go ahead and start drawing a wall, which you can do by simply clicking two points on screen.
