Using arrays to parametrically duplicate objects
- [Instructor] In this video we're going to continue with our detail and I want to focus on this detail component that represents a single stair tread. I want to repeat that stair tread down the length of the stairs, and I also need to adjust it to fit the proportion of our stairs. So let's do that adjustment first. So I'm going to zoom in here, and you can see that it doesn't quite match the stair proportion. Well, I need to know what the stair proportion is, but that's one of the advantages of working in a hybrid detail situation. I've got the stair right here, so all I need to do is select it and take a look. So I'm going to scroll down here on the properties palette. And here in the imperial file you can see that the actual riser height is six and a hundred and seventy one two fifty six of an inch, and the actual tread depth is 11. If you're working in the metric file, then the actual riser height is 176.5 and the tread depth is 275. Go ahead and write that information down…
