Placing a normal ceiling
- [Instructor] To model your ceilings in, the first thing that you need to do is figure out what view that you're currently in. Right now if I look under the Project Browser and Floor Plans, I can see that I'm looking at the first floor floor plan. Now, the reason why a floor plan is called a floor plan is because you're looking down at the floor as you're drawing. What we really want, though, would be a ceiling plan, 'cause we're getting ready to model in a ceiling. It's called a ceiling plan because you're standing on the floor and you're looking up toward the ceilings. So under the Project Browser, we want to go to our Ceiling Plans and then double-click on First Floor. Now we're looking up toward the roof. Underneath the Architecture tab, we now can select on the Ceiling tool. After clicking on Ceiling and underneath Properties, click here on the type selector list and pick GWB, which is a gypsum wall board ceiling.
