Exploding the CAD detail drawing
- [Instructor] Once again, we're staying in the OFFICE_Reception Area.rvt file of our Revit project, and we're in our detail 001 drafting view. In the previous video, we imported a CAD file that was our standard detail, and that's what we got in front of us right now, and if I hover over it and click on it, that selects it all, like so. You'll notice the ribbon now changes and because I imported the CAD drawing, it gives me the option to actually explode all of these elements. So what I'm going to do now, there's the import instance there, I'm gonna click on the down arrow, and I want to do a full explode. So that completely disassembles the import symbol, in this case, the CAD drawing into Revit text, curves, lines and filled regions. So if I do a full explode now, that all explodes, and that is now all using Revit objects. So if I select G.I. Flashing, like so, you can see that that is now Revit text, and you can see that the ribbon updates accordingly, asking me to modify text…
